Born from the Shadows, Rooted in Light
Rooted in Ritual was not created in a boardroom. It was born in the fire of healing, in the raw spaces where two women, reunited through truth, vulnerability, and deep healing.
We met again at a retreat, cracked open, carrying the weight of betrayal, loss, and the unrelenting shadows of trauma. Yet in those shadows, we found something sacred: a path inward, a new way of being, and a devotion to healing. We saw each other not as who we once were, but as who we had become, women reborn, stronger, softer, and fiercely committed to holding space for others.
Our love language is watching you rise.
Our mission is to be a home for the healers and the healing.
Our essence is a return to the heart.
Rooted in Ritual is more than a brand. It is a sanctuary, a remembering, a place where community, ceremony, and soul converge.
Diana's Story
Born and raised in Colombia, my roots are the essence of what has led me back to this sacred medicine. Cacao has always been more than food in my culture; it is memory, tradition, and connection. It is a return to my ancestors, my land, and my heart.
In the quiet unraveling of one of the most painful chapters of my life, I searched for healing. I sought strength through therapy, movement, nutrition. I tried everything to mend the wounds of years of abuse, betrayal, generational trauma, and the fragile work of forgiving myself. For years, I built walls of resilience, only to realize standing at the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, that what I had been searching for had always lived within me. Strength, survival, courage; they were already mine. But life was now asking me for something deeper: to soften, to trust, to return home to my heart.
It was then that cacao found me. Not as a drink, not as a trend, but as medicine. As a homecoming. In my first ceremony, holding cacao from Latin America, my heart cracked wide open. I felt my ancestors stirring, whispering, calling me home. It was as though the women of my lineage; all survivors, scarred yet unbroken, were placing this medicine in my hands, urging me to remember who I am.
From that moment, my path began weaving itself: through motherhood, sisterhood, shared wounds, retreats, chance encounters, and the undeniable pull of my land. Eventually, it led me back to Colombia; my soil, my roots, my ancestors. Meeting Jaguar Siembra was like watching my entire journey flash before me. This was it: the return to the heart.
Now, it is my privilege to carry this rare ceremonial cacao across oceans, and to place it in your hands with reverence. Because cacao is more than a drink. It is a bridge between Earth and heart, between ancestors and descendants, between the wounds we carry and the love we long to return to. It is a piece of my country, my land, and my lineage that I now have the honour of sharing with you.
In every daily ritual, in the quiet moments when you hold a cup close to your chest, may you surrender in stillness. May you listen to the whispers of your own heart, to the wisdom of the land, and to the prayers of those who came before us.
This is my offering; my roots, my story, my purpose.
A return to love, through cacao.
Caylin's Story
To understand death is to understand life. My daughter’s passing was my initiation into this truth. In losing her, I was forced into the deepest surrender, and in that surrender, I found a new way of living. A life rooted in compassion, in integrity, and in the sacred duty to serve.
Motherhood in its duality, holding both the child I lost and the son I now raise, became the greatest teacher of my soul. I live each day in the paradox of grief and gratitude, absence and presence, love and longing. This perspective has reshaped me into the woman I am today: fierce, tender, and devoted to truth.
Life continues to initiate me. Recently, I have been called to honor my sacred “no,” and had to step away from my marriage to remain in full integrity with myself. This too is part of my becoming, embodying the wild feminine, unapologetic in her power, willing to walk the unconventional path.
It was from this place of rawness and rebirth that Diana and I reconnected. Our bond, magnetic, timeless, and forged through shared wounds, revealed itself as destiny. Through cacao, an ancient heart medicine that roared into my life with divine timing, we found our shared calling.
Together, we birthed Rooted in Ritual, a space of community, ceremony, and storytelling. A space where grief and healing, death and rebirth, spirit and earth coexist.
A space where cacao carries us home, again and again, to return to the heart.
